This week is Fire Prevention Week! In addition to reading all sorts of great books about Firefighters and preventing fire, the Monroe Fire Department visited us this morning to teach us all abut what to do if ever there is a fire in our house! It was a very fun surprise this morning. Each student will be bringing home a worksheet to help your family create an evacuation plan just in case. Be sure to take a few minutes to go go over this with your student and then don't forget to check your fire alarm batteries!
On Saturday October 9th the Monroe Fire Department will be hosting an open house. There will be all sorts of activities for all family members to participate in. What a great fall family activity!
